First Day of Dance

A new season is here and tonight was Arabella's first class of the year. She was really excited for class and hadn't stop asking to wear her new dance shoes since we bought them last week. Finally this evening she was able to strap on her new toys.

All worn out.

She is taking ballet & tap this year. Her class is quite different than last year. Mommy isn't allowed in there. She didn't seem to mind and Ms. Kim said she did fabulous; she was very proud of her. It's going to take some planning on my part to get our routine down for dance day. I have to figure out how to juggle Evan's nap time, making sure we have food in the fridge to eat when we come home and packing snacks and entertainment for Evan while we wait for Sissy.

I can honestly say, juggling things around is worth it to see the amazing smile on her face that appeared today. She was just so happy. I pray that she continues to enjoy this art and wishes to continue to learn and grow.

Sweet Torture

I was running low on light Saturday, so I stepped out on the deck to capture the kids through the door while they were eating dinner. I thought it would be a neat way to capture a look into their night. It turned into a torture session for Evan. Hilarious for me, not so much for him.

They didn't turn out that great, the lighting outside set off horrible reflections in the glass. But they are still sweet memories none the less.

I finally let them out to swing...Then it started sprinkling. B & I ran inside, but I had to back out and rescue Evan as he was stunned by the downpour of rain that started falling from the sky.

I know it's out of focus, but they were so cute trying to "drink" the sprinkles.

Cross Eyed Goof

WebA_BSP_3342

This is a typical phase with Arabella. I whip out the camera, she stops what she's doing (mind you I'm trying to capture lifestyle portraits) and she gives me a frown followed by "Why are you taking my picture?"

That soon fades and it changes to this...

She crosses her eyes, because apparently it's the most hilarious thing in the world. The more I try to get her to stop, the more she does it. It eventually turns into a laugh fest and I give up. I mean I can't hold the camera still while laughing.

And then I end up catching her at the end of saying "cheese." I'll be glad when she gets over this phase and likes to pose for me. That will be nice.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
