You Capture ~ Pick One

This week's challenge from Beth is a tough one. She gave us three options to pick from: Green, Hands, Chairs. Those are all three very good subject matters. The difficulty is which one to choose? Arabella made it very easy for me this week. The primary subject is her, but secondary to that is her green froggy pool. Also, I generally try to keep my selections under 5 photos, but this week it was so hard because there were so many neat shots. So Green it is:

This was her first skinny dip. We were out helping Daddy with yard work and I didn't want to go back in just to get her suit, so here she is enjoying the pool in the buff.

Swimming can be such hard work, don't you know?

I love that she has to get the ole "Phillips tongue" working.

I had to throw this one in. This was her first attempt at drinking water from an open container. She was nearly successful at drowning herself several times.

LOL.

Her hair kills me. Both her and bubba got Daddy's curly locks.

This was one of my favorite shots.

She started looking pink after a while so I threw her hat on her and she was not happy one little bit.

As you can see she got over that in a hurry.

Priceless.

The Little Mermaid

Arabella decided to dress herself this evening after a diaper change. She absolutely refused to let me help her put her pants back on. So, just for that, I present: The Little Mermaid.

Mermaid!

Okay, I can't get it Mommy....

So, as you may have noticed the floor was a mess. Arabella decided to rip up some paper and play with one of Daddy's Dr. Pepper bottles, because they are way cooler than any toy. So, forgive the mess, I know those with kids understand. Secondly, she had to watch her cartoons nearly the entire time she tried this. You may note that the majority of the pictures she is facing the t.v. Ah, multitasking. She'll get it eventually I suppose.

Fun Pics

So, I have more pictures of Evan, but they are all pretty much the same. He was upset because we were outside and there wasn't a boob in his mouth...

The Adventures of Zoё and Bella ~ Frog Hunt

Whatdaya want to do today Zoё?
Let's go on a frog hunt Bella.
 BELLA, I FOUND ONE!
Is he going to bite me Mommy? No, probably not dear.
Where's he going?
He's going to go back to his Mommy.
Okay, everyone hide under my umbrella, it's starting to rain.
I'm going home now. See you later Zoё.

P.S. This was the first time Bella has been able to get onto Zoё's bike all by herself.

She did it!

So my most recent posts regarding Arabella and potty training have been more or less hit or miss. Pun intended, mainly her missing while on the potty and opting to go on the floor. Well tonight I had to reseat her on the potty chair about 3 times. Finally I picked her up to go into the bath tub and she had the most odd look of horror on her face. Then I looked down and she went in her potty chair for the first time. The look was priceless. Of course I celebrated, again, and she went about her business playing in the tub. It takes so little to make Mama happy.

Potty Routine

A while ago, during our potty routine, we started counting to thirty before Arabella can get off her potty chair. So recently I've placed her on her potty and went about my business and then she started to holdup her index finger and say "why." Let me explain why this is cute on so many levels. A while back I taught her to hold up her finger and say one after I ask her how old she is. She has now associated that the number one begins our count down to her getting off her potty. So if I don't start counting soon after she sits on her seat she "asks" me to start counting by holding up her finger and saying one. She is such a smarty pants.

Which leads me to the question I've been debating. How hardcore am I? I mean are we ready to go all out potty training? Do I want to start setting the timer and getting her on a potty routine? Questions, questions, questions.

Tonight we hung out at the neighbors and she went swimming. We came home, past her bedtime, and started to get ready for a bath. Well, she had on a set of little swimmers cause I didn't want to get her suit out. So she sat on her potty chair with them on. After that I started to run the bath water. I turned around, took of her swim pants, turned back to the tub to turn the water off, turned back to grab her and I plopped her in the tub. But not before I noticed the lovely pool and splatters of pee she just left for me on the bathroom floor. Again, I am so thankful that our bathroom has linoleum flooring. Sometimes you just gotta shake your head and go on with it.

Also I really need to break out the camera more often while she's awake. Lately I've been getting a lot of pictures of Evan after she's in bed, but alas I have no new pictures of Bella to share. Well, until next time.

Swagbucks

What is Swagbucks? Swagbucks are digital dollars, you collect these dollars and trade them in for gift cards and even cash. I signed up less than a month ago and I have already claimed 5 $5.00 Amazon gift cards and am on my way to collecting enough to snag a $50.00 gift card, yes I did say $50.00. That's cash in my pocket for doing next to nothing. There is a plethora of ways to gain swagbucks.

First things first!

You need to use this link to sign up:

Search & Win

Just for signing up you get 30 FREE swagbucks off the bat. Even better The Swag Guy is offering and additional 20 SWAGBUCKS for signing up by Friday, June 25th at 11:59pm PDT. All you have to do to get your additional 20 swagbucks is add SweetTweeting in the gimme box on your homepage. And since you're new I'll show you where that is at.

Like I said, there are a ton of ways to gather up your swagbucks from swagcodes, to searching, to surveys and completing tasks and even tweeting. So if you ever have a question, feel free to ask. Also there's a great source for figuring out how swagcodes work. Adam at Tattoo Astronomy breaks down where the expired codes were found and has a great way of showing you tips and tricks to gaining your swagbucks.

I might also mention that gaining referrals is an excellent source of swagbucks (shameful plug). For the first 1,000 search points your referrals earn, you get matching points. Sweet way to gain points for doing nothing!

HAPPY SWAGGING!!!

You Capture ~ Get Down Low

Hello everybody! Evan here. My Mommy has had a very long week, so she thought I should handle the You Capture challenge this week, Get Down Low. So here's my take on Get Down Low. Follow me through my hangout and how the world looks to me.

Here's the view from my crib

Here's where I look and lick myself sometimes.

Here's the view from my changing table. I'm still not sure what that furry creature is that stares at me.

Here's my best friend Fred. I usually watch him hang out all day if I don't like what's on t.v.

Here's the view from the floor where I get to play on my floor mat. My sister is such a messy person. Forgive her.

Hey, how'd that get on here?

Well, since my Mommy snuck a picture of me on here guess I'll share one of her photographs from this week. It was taken at my Daddy's cousins' wedding. It was shot from the ground up.
