You Capture ~ Play

This weeks challenge is Play. On an overly hot day, Daddy bought some dry ice to pop some hail damage out of his truck. He brought a piece in so Arabella could experience it for the first time. She enjoyed the fun of dry ice...

Arabella thought that blowing smoke from the ice was pretty cool.

Drop it in some water and poof...

This is pretty cool Daddy.

This one was my favorite. She was "drinking" the smoke in. She lifted her head and said "ah" to which we told her no more drinking the smoke from the glass. :)

Visiting Papa and Mo-ma

Yesterday we ended up taking a trip to my parents, but before we made it there we stopped at my Uncle's place so Arabella could see the animals there. They have a little bit of everything including chickens, goats, ponies, and a horse.

Papa and his little girl.

She wasn't going to touch the goats at all.

Silly girl.

This little guy was so cute.

Another friend of the family, Jon Williams, happened to be at my Uncle's house and he's the resident baby sniffer. ;) He loves to sniff the life out of babies, I guess it keeps him young.

So after our brief visit we went to my parents and Arabella finally decided to try to say Grandma's name, but instead it she called her Mo-ma. So only time will tell if Grandma becomes Mo-ma.

Gah...this week is shaping up to suck

So we started off Sunday with a diaper removal after a nap. Then Monday we follow that up with standing on our new pillow and grabbing a brand new box of Kleenex's and destroying it after our afternoon nap. She also managed to nab her comb and you'll see below that she was covering her comb with a Kleenex as it apparently was tired and needed a blanket.

Yes, she's smiling and saying cheese.

But I can't stay mad at her forever, I mean after all she gives lots of love to her little brother.

First Hair Cut

My baby is growing up...today marked a sad but fun first, a first hair cut. We went to watch Daddy get his hair cut and Adam asked if I wanted to cut Evan's hair too. I was hesitant like most Moms, and secondly I didn't have my camera on me because I didn't know we were going to get it cut. So, after realizing my phone would take "okay" pictures I asked Jim to take a look at him. Jim said he could clean it up a little and get the longer stuff out of his eyes. So, up in the chair he went and Daddy supported him Mommy took pictures and kept tabs on Sissy.

He wasn't quite sure what to make of the buzzing near his ears.

Looking good. The darker area used to have black tips and Jim shortened it so now only the lighter hair is showing.

Three generations of Sharp men have gotten their hair cut by Jim, it is a little sad that Grandpa couldn't be there too, but he was with us in spirit. My men are in good hands with Jim and I don't know what we'll do when he retires.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
