Partying

Yesterday the kids had a birthday party to attend for our neighbor/friend. It was at 9:30 AM at Chuck E Cheese. Genius I tell you! There was hardly anyone else there, so it was a tad easier to chase the children on my own (Adam had Krav Class). I managed to snap a few activity shots, but in the majority of them the kids are making strange alien-like faces. So, you'll have to survive with the hand full that turned out. :)

Krav Maga

Adam_Krav_Yellow Belt

Daddy is officially  a Full Level, First Degree in Krav Maga and was awarded his yellow belt on the 26th. To earn this belt he had to go through four hours of testing on the 14th. As he moves forward the testing will become longer and more extensive. He's excited to attempt his Full Level, Second Degree to receive an orange belt. Way to go Daddy!

Breakfast Blues

Web_BSP_1755

Breakfast can be so difficult when you're two. He will eat eventually, this much I know. He will also have to get over the picky phase, because Mommy is tired of making more than one meal at a time, just so they will eat. So, today's attempt to get them to eat last night's left overs bombed. I will prevail... right? Not everyone will agree with my method, but I'm not everyone else either.

No Quiet Time Here

Yesterday we ran to Target before our nephew's birthday party. As Adam was unloading the cart I snapped a few shots of the kids in the cart. I have no idea what they were talking about, but are they not the cutest?

Today, while Bella was napping Evan discovered our Leap Frog barnyard toy. The fun of the toy is mixing and matching different animals to see what you come up with. However, Evan doesn't seem to think that they should be mixed. I tried mixing them several times and he corrected me every time saying "No! No! No!" and then he would match one of the halves to the corrected animal. The kid can be such a buzz kill. LOL.

It didn't take long, with the noise Evan was putting out, for Sissy to wake up and join in the fun. Evan was adamant that he was big enough and did not need her help with this toy. I was quickly able to distract her with the alphabet toy. I tried to play a game with her to put the letters in correct order. We did pretty good until we got to U. Then she gave up and played model for me. :)

Also for the record, she DOES wear pants... when we leave the house. Otherwise she apparently has decided to boycott them while in the house. So, that's why the majority of my pictures lately have shown her in her undies. She just refuses to put anything on. Ah, kids.

Bird Bathing

Web_BSP_1152

I needed to water my plants and trees this evening, since we haven't seen rain in who knows when. Of course this means that we must fill the bird bath too. I wonder when she'll admit that we aren't really filling it for the birds?

Big Helper

WebBlog_BSP_1017

Bella has been my big helper with the photography scavenger hunt I've been participating in. One item took us to the local motorcycle dealer. And of course she "needs to ride it."

Potty Training... Again

Potty Training

Well, it's officially time to PT kiddo number two. Why I waited so long with him? Because dealing with one kid was easier when learning how to/how not to potty train a child. Now we have the added encouragement of child number one. You know, she thinks she needs to dump the potty, flush the toilet. It's sweet, but unfair to Evan who needs to learn these things as she did.  Now, I'm trying to include her in the process as well for support, but me having to clean pee off the bathroom floor isn't what I'd like to be spending my time on, if you know what I mean.

So I'm giving him as much liquid as possible and letting him roam nekid from the waist down (for the most part) and letting him sit on the potty as often as he wants. In the past three hours we've peed four times on the potty. He does a happy dance because his reward is chocolate covered raisins. We've also been through three pull-ups on top of the liquid that's made it in the potty chair.

I guess I'm at a point I'm just tired of changing diapers. I want it to be over, but I'm also sad that my baby, isn't so much a baby. He also seems pretty on board with the game plan. But I mean what male wouldn't like the ability to let things hang out without judgement? :)

So onward we go. Heaven help me as I make it through another round of potty training.

Fun At The Lake

Well...it wasn't so much fun as it was Mommy scouting out stuff for her photography scavenger hunt... I didn't get a picture of what I was after, but rather snapped a few random shots of the kids. Yes, Evan kept trying to run into the lake and Sissy kept trying to drag him back away from it. Not the best shots in the world, but memories none the less. :D

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
