Graduation 3.28.15

Arabella was awarded new rank this morning and we are proud of her. She's been doing really well in class and look forward to her continuing to grow in martial arts. Today she moved from Yellow with Orange Stripe to Half Yellow, Half Orange.

Just Because

I'm just getting back to my big girl camera after a long hiatus, so I snapped a few of Lil Man today. No particular reason other than good light and a good looking kiddo.

You're Going to Miss This

Tonight I realized as I was getting both kids bathed, that it won't be much longer and these little moments will be gone. The loud obnoxious laughter, hard belly giggles and silliness. I had to grab my camera and try to capture them in this amazing close sibling fun filled moment they were in.

Family Project {The Leprechaun Trap}

Leprechaun Trap 2015

This month we were given the task of creating a Leprechaun Trap as a family from Arabella's kinder teacher. With input from everyone, and a lot of hot glue I would say Arabella was rather pleased to see her vision come to life. :)

Leprechaun Trap 2015

The "trap" is an "X" cut into the green construction paper under the tissue paper, which was not completely glued down at the end by the treasure. When the Leprechaun walks down the path s/he will fall through the thin tissue paper and into the box.

Supplies Used:

Kleenex Box (the kind with the plastic barrier)
Construction Paper
Scrapbook Paper
Sparkly Tissue Paper
Tooth Picks
Baking Twine
Rhinestones
Beads
Green Glitter Ribbon
Rhinestone Sheets
Gold Bottle Cap
Flexible Straw
Glue Stick
Hot Glue
Scissors
Sharp Knife (for cutting through the construction paper to trap our Leprechaun)

First Lost Tooth

3.5.15 First Tooth

At six years old we've officially lost our first tooth. This poor tooth has been hanging on for dear life for ages now. We made it to karate and while waiting around she began showing me how she could just push the tooth completely down with her tongue. I knew it as finally time. So I took her to the bathroom, grabbed a paper towel and tugged. She winced and I was afraid I had been wrong. She said "do it again." I told her I would as long as she didn't bleed all over her white Gi. So I gave another generous tug and it was out. She stared at me and asked if it was still in. I giggled and told her to look in the mirror and she freaked from the small amount of blood. I then took the paper towel and put it in her mouth and her worries were gone. She then proceeded to go around the academy to each and everyone of her classmates and show off the new gape in her grin. It was rather adorable.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
