#515

Sorry, just didn't have a cute little title for this.

Here's a few shots of E today after he discovered his new-to-him bouncing Tigger. And I totally didn't break out the camera when Arabella started a fight over it because it was "her" Tigger, not bubba's.

Everyday Adventures *Pic Heavy*

I'm getting a lot of practice with the camera and I'm thinking Arabella's getting to where all she sees is a lens instead of Mommy's face. Here are several from today.

I'm really upset that this one is blown, but Evan is such the explorer I just had to share it.

I love how I can see the dimple in her chin in certain facial expressions.

"Look Mommy, I see rainbows." Really, in the dishwasher???
Spaghetti for dinner...first time. :)
Slurpin on the noodles.
After dinner popsicle.
Someone stole a Skinny Cow.

Nice and clean and ready for bed.

Piggy Paints!

Another fun first for Arabella. her first Mani & Pedi. She even picked her own paint color. After spending a half hour doing her nails, I'm now debating why I thought it would be such a grand idea in the first place. But she loves them.

You Capture - Body Parts

Okay, so Beth said this weeks theme is Body Parts (keep it clean!) and seriously I am the most lame when it comes to creativity. I went with the obvious baby body parts, or at least the ones I could capture, because they move so quickly it's hard to stay in focus.

Toddler feet are too cute.

Arabella is obsessed with my wedding rings, so I let her try them on.

The End! (There's a story behind this I'll post later, no pun intended)

How weird does that sound???

Special Treat

Arabella is a little bit of a picky eater at this age, heck if it isn't peanut butter & jelly or chicken strips we have a hard time getting her to eat it. So tonight I made my numalicious Deviled Chicken Breasts, with roasted garlic rice, and healthy colors vegetable blend. To say the least I scarfed it up. Evan actually chowed down and loved it too. Arabella is a big fan of rice so I knew that would go over well, and me not wanting to fight with her picked out only green beans from the blend for her veggie.

I put the plate on the table, away from her to cool and she pulled it in and starting eating really well. So, I told her if she didn't fight me during dinner that she could have an extra special treat. I did have to remind her of this a few more times but that motivated her to eat her dinner with little fuss.

Dinner ran late, and of course the kids were eating slow so it was a late night. But a promise is a promise so here is Arabella's first adventure into baking cookies.

MONSTER COOKIE!!!!

First we must pose with our ingredients

She helped Mommy add the butter, Mommy added the egg, and she poured in the cookie mix.

The you MUST make a funny face while mixing the batter.

Once the batter is formed into dough, we pour it onto a parchment paper lined pizza pan.

Then we sing twinkle twinkle into the spoon microphone.

Then another MUST, lick the spatula so it is free from any batter.

Give the dough a final pat before it goes in the oven.

Prepare your cookie drink. For me it's all about the milk, whereas she would rather have juice.

Nom Nom Nom...you better believe Mommy caved and ate a piece.

Nursing Pooh Bear

I can't say this is the first time Arabella has imitated me nursing her brother. I can however say this is the first time she's done it while having a conversation with her "baby."

A good friend sent Evan this tiny Pooh Bear that has a blankie attached. Evan plays with it from time to time but when it falls onto the floor Arabella swoops in and saves him.

For some reason tonight she decided that Pooh Bear must be hungry. So as she cradled him in her hands, she spoke to him gently and asked him if he needed a boobie. For her we asked if she wanted milk while she was nursing. However with Evan he only seems to respond to the question if we replace milk with boobie.

So in her own cute little fashion she struck up a conversation with Pooh Bear, reassuring him that he indeed need to nurse. Then she found a comfy spot, and proceeded with the nursing. She even stroked his head and talked to him while he was eating. It was the most amazing moment yet. There are times I despise this age, but this is not one of them. I am so proud of my baby girl.

Poor Babies and Their Teeth

Well two teething kids at once can be a pain, that is for certain. However, Arabella just broke through her last molar, that is until the 6-year molars decide to join us.

Evan on the other hand still has a slew of teeth to go. After gnawing on his hands for what seems like an eternity he's broken through with tooth number nine.
