NHRDA

So Adam had tickets for this weekends NHRDA World Finals. Being that Evan is still nursing we took him along. Ms. B stayed with Grandmama for the day. The day started off rough courtesy of Mother Nature. By the time we made it to the stands we had to spend the better part of two hours hiding under them to get out of the rain. Finally it cleared enough they were able to get the track dried and the two hour delay of events rolling. Just as the first set of trucks took off down the straight away Evan nursed himself to sleep. About an hour later he woke up and enjoyed the festivities with us. He found it enjoyable and the crowd was fun for him to watch. I didn't even think to bring my camera with me so we snapped some pictures on Adam's cell phone and I cropped them so you can more easily see what was happening.
Adam fell in love with this severely chopped rig. It was so chopped it almost looks cute.

He went on to win his heat.

Evan, and the most of us, got a real kick out of this rig in the burn out competition. When he ran his heat, half way down the strip, he laid on the horn which was a train whistle. It was awesome.

Shortly after the burn outs stopped we took off. We weren't prepared for Mother Nature to turn cold on us. Thank goodness I wore Evan or we probably wouldn't have even stayed as long as we did. I am also thankful the tickets were free. We will definitely be making the trip again next year provided the finals are in Topeka. I'd love to see Ms. Kelsey Epp back. She's the only female in NHRDA to make it to the finals and that girl can kick some butt on the track.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
