Sickly little girl

After four weeks of on again, off again fevers we finally decided to take Arabella to the doctor. Until recently besides the fevers she hadn't been showing any signs of really being sick. Starting three days ago she began not sleeping at night. She's been wide awake either howling and screaming or talking and playing with her toys. Needless to say between Evan and her I haven't exactly been getting sleep. And poor Adam is suffering during day while trying to sleep because Mommy has a rather short fuse.

Back to the appointment, we explained what symptoms or lack there of she's been having. Dr. W seems to think that her symptoms are suspicious of Hand, Foot, Mouth disease. However, she isn't showing any signs on her hands or feet. She also has ulcers on the inside of both cheeks. There are several possibilities for that including biting herself accidentally, or they are rubbing on her new molars. Either way it has lead to a decrease in her appetite and food consumption so she's been losing weight. After all was said and done he can't come to an actual cause for the fevers, but again he has suspicions. So he prescribed her some antibiotics and told us to give her Motrin, as well as use baby Orajel on her sores before she eats and before bed. Hopefully we'll see an improvement soon.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
