Potty Training - Day 3 & 4

I'm beginning to think I'm more ready for potty training than Arabella. We've been at this for four days, and while I understand it takes time and patience, I think my patience is lacking. I don't know that I'm ready to admit defeat, and I'm pretty sure we'll give it a few more days and then decide.

Yesterday while and her Grandmama's we sat her on the potty several times. She even went once. Before we left, thankfully, Adam put her in a pull-up. She wet herself on the short ride home. Then after nap time she wet two more times. I guess I should consider myself grateful that she hasn't had a bowel movement in her underwear. So we're averaging one potty use per day out of the million times we sit her on it.

Today she wet herself twice, and once was immediately after she got off the potty. It's not like we aren't leaving her on it for a long enough period, so I don't know what it is. I'm not sure if she can't relax, or she's accustomed to doing it in her diaper, or she's just not ready. But like I said, I'm not ready to admit defeat. Keep praying for us.

About Me

My photo
My name is Bobbi. My husband, Adam, and I have been married since September of 2007. We welcomed our daughter, Arabella, on December 31, 2008 and our son, Evan, on February 2, 2010. I'm a stay at home mommy who loves being able to be there for our children. Adam works for a communication company and has been there for ten years now. We are enjoying our time together and our newly expanded family. Things are hectic but all too fun with our Irish twins! I started the blog to keep everyone up to date with our going-ons and to give me a place to blow off steam from time to time. I hope you come back often an take a peek at the pictures I enjoy sharing.
