She loves to stand now. She pulls herself up on anything that doesn't move. And the things that do move on her, only make her stronger. She truly believes she can stand on her own two feet without hanging on to anything. However, she continuously falls to her butt, then bounces right back up. She is determined. She has started trying to cruise using her music table. She has also figured out how to walk around in the PNP. It's funny to see her staring at you one second on one side of it and then next she's on the other side facing the TV.
We've officially moved up to stage two foods and today began some finger foods. Her first finger food was Banana puffs. It's hilarious to see her with them because she wants to grab and hold them all, but hasn't quite mastered getting them into her mouth with a fist full. After a while I noticed that the puffs were disappearing, but she wasn't eating them. No, she decided to stash them under her chubby thighs in the booster seat.
Mmmm, what are these all about?
We now have four teeth. In order, we have Bud, Lizzie, Linda Lou and Billy Bob. All four front teeth have arrived starting with her fourth month of life. She's growing way too fast for us. She's quick on her feet, the best biter in the world, and a generally happy baby.
We've also moved up from the bath sling to the rubber ducky. And sad to say, we are going to be moving into size 5 diapers. Her butt is just not quite small enough for the fours anymore. And the best part of all...drumroll...she's sleeping through the night. Not that "sleeping through" that consists of four or five hour stretches. We're talking ten to twelve hours a night with one or two wakings. Usually she just wants her diaper changed and a small bottle to get back to sleep. This so makes up for all the sleepless nights and 2:00am bedtimes up to this point. We partially credit the chiropractor for adjusting her back. Her sleeping pattern coincided with her adjustment. The rest was up to us to keep her on schedule.
She's also become rather proficient in her walker. She's even mastered making it move on carpet! Strong little legs, that's what she has. She's also figured out how to open the kitchen cabinets. Last night we installed the safety latches! Next up, we have to buy the final gate for the house to keep her from falling down the stairs. Especially now that we can put her down in the bedroom and she'll follow us to the kitchen. That is of course is when the carbon monoxide detector in the hall doesn't catch her eye. Yes, we've even had to put the plug covers in. She's just such an inquisitive little mind.
Another recent discovery of my daughter is laundry. She LOVES to help Daddy fold laundry. Of course that only means that the clean clothes end up on the floor. But hey, it's a start right? Maybe this means she'll be into doing chores when she older?
I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting, but I think of them and blog about them later.
What did they put this up for?
Bella - you're leaving me in the dust! I need you to give me a lesson on how to drive mommy crazy with all the mobility! BTW, you're looking pretty cute in that diaper!
